What to do with access to a free HD video camera and professional lighting equipment for one weekend day, one week away??? Working with Secret Umbrella Productions, I helped produce, shoot and edit the above improvisational mockumentary short film, and accompanying trailer, which was itself outlined as a short film to stand alone by itself. Writer/director Palmer Avery wrote the treatment for A Wind Cries Marty, but allowed a great deal of creative freedom with the dialogue to seasoned improv actors Scottie Sindora and Kristen Manning. The resulting films are kinda hilarious.
SYNOPSIS: Struggling documentarian Lacey Lockhart is thrilled when her producer suggests a new project. Then she discovers that her subject is a man claiming to have an invisible friend. Now, she must think fast in order to turn her film into the story of the year.
